I"m looking for any information about this towed bale loader. What brand? How to connect the control rods (3 or 4 bars w/pins came with it) to the towing truck or wagon bed? I have photos and dimension of the bar mounting brackets on the truck bed. But don"t know how to configure the bars and/or operate. It is missing the main drive chain (#55 chain) - which I can replace. Thanks for your interest and any advice.

I have for sale a New Idea bale loader that is similar and also mounts to the side of the hayrack. Wheels on yours looks the same.

Don't know what make that one is but I pulled one back in the sixties that just hooked on the right side of a four wheel wagon. The wagon had a hitch that was welded to the frame and stuck out just far enough to hook the tongue on the front of the loader to. I think that front skid plate just needs to clear the ground by an inch or so, so it doesn't rub on the ground all the time. I had to make right turns only, so the machine don't hit the side of the wagon. You have to unhitch the loader when you unload the wagon unless you are stacking out in the open.

Second from the bottom is one still being made.

Never actually seen one, but hear a lot about them from certain areas.

We have a graves bail loader similar to that and it has an arm that goes up and down and a hook that goes in the stake pocket of the truck or trailer. The loader just follows along the side of the truck and you pluck the bails off of it.

Old friend of mine had one of those things- not quite the same- and it hooked on the left side of a wagon, truck or trailer. He could load hay so fast that it would work two or three good men to death on the wagon if he had a driver that could really run it....

Don't know but got one like it. I pull mine behind the tractor with the bales going straight off the back onto a wagon. I would like to know what it is too.

That is an awesome bale loader. It's ground driven and all? I have never seen one, but would like to see one in operation. Much simpler than the stacker wagon, other than the obvious, it does not stack. One of those hooked to something like those basket wagons would be perfect for a one man operation.
