The Clipper Cleaner #16

Does anyone know the value of "The Clipper Cleaner #16" manufactured by A.T. Ferrell & Co.? It's an antique that is intact and all parts are working. We purchased it in the 1960s from a grain elevator.

You have a large commercial cleaner and not a farm size unit. Couple of years ago a large one, don't know model, sold at auction for over $2,000. That company is still in business at Bluffton In.

The 16 is a real early one. I don"t think it has brushes. It"s a medium scale cleaner that only requires minimum current, 1-1.5 hp. Not worth much over $1000, and have to find the right person to get that out of it.

Condition is everything. The last number signifies it"s size, and the "6" was the smallest of the commercial cleaners. Not sure about availability of screens, do you have a good selection of screens? Does it have brushes to keep the screens clean? I am not sure the "6" did. I saw a nice #27 sell last year for $500. It"s tough to put a price in them, because not many people are looking, and not many are for sale. I think $800 may be a good starting point if it"s work ready and has screens.
