Homemade foam marker

Was looking for a good, cheap way to make a herbicide foam marker. Any help will be appreciated.

Here is what I read
Take a plastic gas container with a pour spout
Drill an appropriate size hole for a valve stem from a tubless tire in the bottom.
Connect a 12v air compressor such as used for
floats,balls,etc.
Slip some sort of hose over the pour spout and
route it to the discharge point.

A personal thought-put a sock like thingee over the end of the spout to make it ball up instead of
drizzling.
If anyone tries this,please let us know

BUILT one years ago 2 gal gas can each side tire valve pulled in to inflate sump pump line over spout to end 100 lb propane tank for air and a ball valve got to put smalltee valve in to limit air supplie have used over many 100s of acres
