Brush Hog Cylinder Leak

I have a 10 ft International Brush Hog. The cylinder that raises it leaks. I put a plug in the hole fitting that is leaking. But with the plug in it, I cannot raise or lower the brush hog. It only has one hydraulic line that goes to it (to raise it). Would anyone know where I might find a good kit to rebuild the cylinder? Or should I just take the cylinder to my local tractor dealer? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Bob

when you put the plug in it it cant breathe on down stroke you have to put in a breather in that port if it leaks out of that port it nees a seal kit

Oil is getting past the internal plunger. Needs new o rings.

Sometimes cheaper to buy a common 8 inch stroke cylinder from the farm supply store as to have it done...

With only one line, the other side needs to breathe, like a bellows. Your plug is air locking it.

A second hose will direct the minor leak back to your tractor. It will still be leaking, but maybe no big deal. However, this will no longer let the cylinder float a bit, it will be powered up and powered down, you might not want that....
