Rotary Cutter problem

Do you have an over riding clutch on the pto shaft?

Just thinking outside the box here:

Are the 3 pt hitch lower arms loose and ends worn,

if so, when you back up, this could allow the
cutter pto shaft to push on the tractor pto shaft

This could cause the tractor shutter.

If you can borrow a cutter from a neighbor, try his
and see if you have the same problem.

Do you have the shutter when you back up with other
implements?

Could the pto shaft be to long and placing stress on
the tractor pto shaft.

No overriding clutch on PTO,...........the other suggestions

are certainly considerations I will check. Thanks much!
