I have been doing some reading here on cutter (shredder, bush hog) etc usage. I have a well used JD413 that I just purchased, blades were in pretty bad shape.
Doing some reading here folks mention balancing the blades. How does one do that? I have balanced lawn mower blades with the center hole, but I can't figure out how you would balance cutter blades unless maybe you take them off and do it with a scale.
I sharpened the ones on it with a grinder as I did not have a wrench large enough to take them off. If anybody happens to know what size those nuts are, that would be handy to know. This will be the first time that I have cut our property and I thought I'd use the old blades for the first time or two before replacing them with a new set.
