I have an ih 720 mould board plow with 5 18s.it I needs bearings on one wheel but the rest of the plow seems to be in good shape it was always kept indoors until about 3 months ago. What is this plow worth? I was thinking about scraping it but I'd really hate to do that

I hate to say it but I paid a site more than $450 for mine. It's a 6-18 with a land hitch and is in really good shape. You did not say if it was in furrow or land but what I can say is don't scrap it. Take it to a consignment sale. From what I had to pay for one and what I see around Michigan the land plow is going to be more popular. For several years they have been "old school" and a lot went to scrap. Just lately there has been a resurgence of moldboard plows as no-till is getting criticized for disease and pest problems. If yours has a land hitch I could probably be talked into coming down and getting it. Go to modern and find my email. I would need some measurements. I like my chisel but there is still nothing like dropping 5-6 bottoms in good soil and watching it turn.

Advertise it. If it has coulters plus automatic reset they can bring upwards of 2,500 dollars around here. Plows are not in much demand so be prepared to spend some time marketing it.

720 is a good plow. Auto reset would bring $1500-$2500 here, depending on condition and options. (semi-mount or on-land hitch, coulters, depth wheel)

I have mine for sale on here under the photo classified ads and classified ads. The wear parts on mine look like they were replaced and used very very little and the previous owner painted the wear parts to protect them from the weather. I greased the plow but never used it.

Plows are making a come back West of Ohio. (Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, that area) Plows seem to be worth more over in that area.

Would be $2500 here local, wouldn't be waiting long to get it sold for that. Plows are popular here in this soil and climate.

Your timing might have been off, not much interest after May until September, no one needs a plow in that period?
