JD 6620 Titan2

What would you like to know? Not a fun job but there are far more challenging ones on the machine.

Not sure what all has to be removed to get to the belt. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Helping a neighbor he has 2 6620 combines. The other one developed a noise & vibration seems to be under the seat. Can hear & feel it with or without the header engaged. We removed the chain that runs the return elevator & tailings auger & the noise and vibration went away. How hard is it to remove the tailings auger?
thank you

Why would you remove the tailing elevator???? You can easily replace the bearings with it on the machine. Removing the entire elevator is around a full days job. The bearings les than two hours tops.

The noise seems to be in the return auger. The chain & elevator bearings look & feel fine. Was wondering how the tailings auger came out.

The outer bearing flange covers a slot that the auger will unscrew out of the auger housing. The inner bearing might just be a wood block, you can double the wood block or install a flange and bearing setup. chris
