Last years corn.

Neighbor called this afternoon to offer some corn that was left on some of his farm from a renter. Renter not coming to get it. So land owner offer it to us. I haven't looked at it yet, but was wondering if it could be picked and still get some feed? Thinking stalks wouldn't hold. Maybe chopped, but how to store? Have to see if first.

I always leave some standing over winter for wildlife to eat. Just went out and salvaged what was left because the weeds were getting large. The corn that was left was standing well and the corn kernals looked perfect. It depends on the variety, but most in our area that was left standing would be no problem to harvest.
