On my 68 I had a bearing bad on the PTO shield short one that attaches to tractor mine had bearings nh parts man gave me a nylon insert I looked on his computer also and that's what it showed anyone ever change these I don't have service manual

I never put one in a 68 but I put one in the shield on a bush hog I have. Just sort of tapped it in to the seat with a hammer and dowel. Works okay. I've put several of them into Ford steering boxes, nylon bearings that is, and they work fine there.

Usually they have an inside snap ring that protrudes the shield in 3 places. Push in on those 3 places with a screw driver and viola there she be.
