HN456 mower knifehead bushing replacement?

The knifehead bushing on my NH456 mower needs to be replaced. I'm having a difficult time removing the old bushing from the knifehead; the outer cyclinder doesn't want to move. There must be a few tricks to this. Any advice would be appreciated.

You have to put the pressure on the outer sleeve.
Find an old bushing or piece of pipe with a diameter slightly less than the OD of the new bushing.
A heavy washer will work too and you can grind it down to the right OD and use what ever piece of bushing that would be too small by it self but close to the OD of the knife bushing.

To press it out and the new one in would work best in a press but a large vise will work too.

Banging it out with the hammer is not advised but might work but pounding the new one in could end in disaster for the bushing.
