New connecting links on NH 477 haybine too big

Has anyone had any issues with this? The tractor place I got them from has no idea. These are the links that keep the axle and the frame separated. The old links are much narrower in the part that attaches to the cutting bar/frame part, but they're also broken so we can't see how long they're supposed to be.

The new replacement links are too wide at the widest part by about 1 inch or so. Did this machine change over the years or did we somehow get the wrong part?

(quoted from post at 14:46:31 07/16/14) What is the part number of the ones you got?
art number is: 215855

http://cnh-b2b.servigistics.com/index.php/sbsimage/NH/default/1318782.png - #44 in this image. The problem is that the part where those pins go in is too wide to fit in the brackets. The place I got them was puzzled, and wasn't even able to find any dimensions.

That's the right part number for a 477. I know the 472 uses a different number link. How wide is the bracket on yours and how wide is the new link?

he widest part on the new link is 5.25'' and the old one looks to be about 5''. Overall it's quite a big difference though including the bevels on the side. Apparently all the links are the same length though. The holes on the links are different too, as in the ones that run down the metal, not where the pin goes. The new link doesn't have holes in the same place, it looks almost as if they cut the old ones to make it fit but it still looks factory. Hopefully that makes sense.
