Gehl hay eqipment parts availability

I"ve been tire kicking some discbines. The gehls seem to be better priced than deeres or new hollands. They made a 12ft hydro swing that interests me. Any major issues that make them cheaper or is it just the paint? Can"t remember the model. I"m just wondering if parts are still readily available for these. I think one I saw was a 2005 model, so not too old. Isn"t gehl no longer in business?

Gehl stopped making ag stuff in about 2006.

They sold some parts off, just dropped others.

All they do now is skid loaders.

They're still in the skid steer business but not the farm equipment business. I haven't had any problem getting parts for anything through Hofferbert's in Bannister. They've been Gehl for decades and try to keep things going.
Trying to think who handles Gehl to the south anymore? Snyder Farm Supply in Alto and Portland used to,but they're long gone.
As long as Hofferbert or McConnell's in Rosebush are around,I won't have any fear of Gehl equipment myself.

I bought my rake from hofferbert and some bearings for it at McConnell. I think they're the closest two. McConnell shipped me what I needed. Had it in a couple days. Liked both of them.

IF you want an orphan in a few years buy it. LOL

Gehl has stopped making farm equipment. There are parts on fairly new machines that are no longer available new. They had a good following around here in pull type forage harvesters. I know fellow that has one that is a 2009 model and there is a wear part he can not longer buy new from Gehl. I don't remember the exact part but it was not that uncommon.

That is the reason the Gehl hay equipment value is dropping like a rock in most areas.

You couldn't give me the thing I bought an owatonna swather once couldn't even get guards for it let alone anything major finally every part it ever needed took weeks to find and research trying to even find a part number or using measurements to find parts equipment manufacturers often will spec parts that are just enough different from just a generic part you have to buy the part from them
