Where was the IH #185 planter made ?

Hello to all,
On vacation this year, I purchased 2, #185 IH planters from a "resale shop" in Peoria , IL. ! I understand they are part of the IH attachments that would be used with the Cub tractor , [b:19703b36e8]BY CHANCE, were they made at the Canton Works in Canton, IL., for IH ( because they are about 18 mile away from where I purchased the planters)[/b:19703b36e8]? They appear to be "hardly used" , only a little dust on the inside of the rim(s), and the rubber "flashing" from the manufacturing process , is still in the 45 deg. tread bars, and about 85% of the original paint is still on the units !
I thought one of them would look good behind my restored '57 IH Cub , when I go to shows, I have no land to plant crops !
Thanks for your help, Lee Petrie, Joliet, IL.

They are a 'unit' planter. Meaning any number of units could be bolted to a (usually) to a 2" diamond tool bar,in any row width.....They were made in the late 50s to mid/late 60s.They would look good 'following' a Cub!

Hi Deltared,
Thanks for the reply, I thought I would weld/fabercate a 2" sq. tubing tool bar on an extra fast hitch spear , and use one of them , their quite heavy , and for display purposes ONLY, that would be all that I would ever need , but the person at the resale shop said, both of them or none ! Are their pictures around of what that single point "fast hitch" tool bar, should look like ? Thanks again, Lee Petrie, Joliet, IL.
