JD 894 rake

Antone ot a parts 894 rake? Need the piece that is internally splined and joins the 2 axle halves together. Mother Deere wants an awful lot for it.

I have aJD parts rake here Brett. I'm not sure what
model it is. Is the 894 like the 660 with the
straight drive axle?

Straight axle across the back, joined in the middle with a 4 bolt connector, one half is integral with the axle (in the drive side IIRC, and the other uses an internally splined casting so you can remove the axle half. That's the sucker I need. I'll try to find a picture.

Mine is an 894. Shaft has been welded together in
the back. Call me 323 3305.

The part # is G538E. It was priced at $105 in 2007. I didn"t buy it. Still running the rake with a floppy axle and it still works OK.
