Swather Board for 501 sickle mower #2

Sorry I also ment to ask in my last posting if any one as a template to make a swather board for the 501?

John,

I don't have a swath board on my 501 mower. The outer end of the mower accommodates two long rods that direct the grass that is coming off the outer end of the knife to create the swath.

Sometimes it is better to make one of your own design rather than use a manufacturer's standard board. We used our own design boards on a couple mowers that worked better for whatever we were mowing.

I remember making one by using the top part of a broken fork handle that was worn smooth. Bolted that handle in place and the hay slid off of it real good!
