today I looked my baler over and found that the chain that drives the pick up head was very loose and worn and the tensioner was maxed out. I got a new chain to put on. there are 3 are 4 sprockets that the chain rides on and 2 are drive sprockets. do I have to make sure everything is timed up when I put it back together? or is timing not an issue? my guess is that timing is not an issue because I found that someone had taken a link out to make up for the tensioner being maxed out. any replys I can get asap would be great. I have hay going in tomorrow afternoon. thanks.
