The book says one kind. The NH Dealer in Tulsa says another. The book says it matters, Whaddia you say. Book says J-20-A
Im running it with a 990 D Brown tractor. Im told it takes Hytran 15-40.

To tell the truth, I doubt if either of these has either one. Id kinda like to find out what you guys who have NH R Bailers use in yours.

If your talking the gear box I tend to run a 85W-140 in things and if I can find some graphite and it is a true gearbox I will add some of it to them. I have and do use graphite in manual transmission in cars and truck which does help improve mileage

I think any type of universal tractor hydraliuc fluid would be fine

Mt BA is what I mow probably 99% of my hay with. Turns on a dime easy on fuel and rides good. Only problem is it can be hard to get on and the hand lift of the sickle bar is a tad hard. Been thinking about adding a power steering pump to it a control valve and a cylinder for the lift. It is sitting in the hay field waiting for a week with 3 days that the weather guesser say no rain

Ya figured I need the duals on the narrow side to keep from flipping it over and then once I put them on I found it made it look sort of neat also.
You do notice the sickle bar on it and that it is down in the mowing position. Also the exhaust pipe is not the run of the mill type of pipe. The exhaust pipe is a copper pipe instead of the normal steel pipe
