On my six foot Bushog the bolt that holds the stumpjumper and blades is stripped. How do I change it out or do I need to buy a new gearbox. Roy

I TOOK MINE TO A LOCAL WELDING SHOP AND THEY knew what AND HOW TO PUR A NEW BOLT IN with several hours labor.

Probably won't hold in this instance, but sometimes you can fix them by wrapping nylon fish line around the bolt and then screwing it back in. Hitch on my 5000 ford was loose. A couple of the 4 bolts that hold the hitch assembly to the main rear casting were stripped enough you couldn't tighten them up. wrapped them with the fish line and they held till I put a discbine on the tractor. I suppose too much weight on the hitch. Discbine was too much for the 5000, so took it off. Rewrapped the bolts with the fishline and put them back in. That was 12 years ago and still seems to be holding. may not hold in your case but it won't cost much to try.

I welded the nut on the bottom of the brushhog. I don't know how long that will last. However the cutter is getting old. I will prolly have to get another one. Thanks all you techs. Roy
