I did a bunch of digging because i had the same problem with my 24t. That is, the bearing on my 24t baler on the pickup side went out. Note that this bearing is only for balers with serial numbers less than 32000. JD wants $135 for that bearing! I thought that was ridiculous and set to find a substitute. Found out a BCA 88509 is the same bearing as the JD7140. I looked at a bunch of other bearings and i don't think other manufacturers 88509 are the same. Not certain on that. I've ordered a BCA 88509 from ebay for $22. Note that the 88509 is available from autozone as it is used in a bunch of cars and trucks. One could probably go there and ask them to look at one or supply dimensions.

There are usually many source for the same bearing (physically), but I still see posts about people using only the bearings that the equipment manufacturer sells.

The bearing manufacturers ship them in bulk barrels (or other containers) and the manufacturers put them in their brand boxes. They can buy the same bearing in a different box for less elsewhere.
