Removing the telescoping shaft on a NH 246 rake

Could it be model 256 rake? If so, you can either take the u-joint apart at the gearbox, or take the shaft out of the gearbox. The shaft/yoke is made together. You take the dust cap off of the opposite side of the gearbox, remove cotter pin and castle nut, shaft assembly will slide out, leaving gear, dog clutch and spring in box. Use grease in gearbox, not 90wt, gear oil. I use corn head grease or 00 grease (ALCO brand).
