plow share ID ??

My friend brought me some plow shares that he is wondering if I can either replicate or repair for him. Im just searching online now to see if it is easier (for me) and more sensible to just find replacement parts.

Unfortunately, I haven"t seen the plow and he claims hes not sure what make or model it even is. All I know to work from is that there is "OF 12" stamped on the shares he gave me. Does anyone know what they would be to, so I can try searching more online to see what I can come up with.

The top, shorter side measures 12.25" across, tapering down at both ends to a length of 17" across on the bottom. Two bolt holes near the top, 5.625" from center/center. Any help is appreciated, thanks

I'm thinking (but no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied):
O=Osmundson (aftermarket tillage parts mfr.)
F=Ford
12=12" bottoms (but some plow mfr's. bolt patterns worked out where 12" shares could be used as a "short" share on a 14" bottom)

There may be 2- and 3-bolt 12" Ford blade shares. I think there was a 3-bolt share with a dropped front hole. If so, I don't know if the bolt patterns allow for interchange. 12" shares for many bottoms are becoming difficult to find.

Possible parts mfr.'s include, but aren't limited to:
CNH/New Holland (and someone at a dealer who knows what you're talking about if you don't have an OE part number)
Osmundson
Wiese
Herschel-Adams

Double check measurements before ordering.

AG,

thanks so much for the excellent info. without doing too much searching, would you happen to know any sort of estimated price range that these replacement shares are going for? Just looking for a rough guess so I can decide which route to pursue. thanks

Today, I'd guess maybe $20-$25 per piece from an aftermarket retailer, maybe more, hopefully less, if they're even still available. Hardware used to come with new shares, if not figure another buck or so for bolts and nuts per share.

Wiese and Osmundson ship shares 6 to a pkg., and if it's a special order item at your local dealer they may want you to buy the whole package.
