The tire on the one here looks like a single rib front tractor tire. It kind of drives off the side of the tread. It seems like any tire might work. The critical thing is that it be the right diameter to tighten up against the driven wheel.
 

Never used one but the word I got years ago was that vehicle tires did not hold up long. I remember seeing a Sidewinder with a vehicle tire that was pretty well chewed up.

Ok, I picked up a 6.7 by 15 8 ply implement tire, so far all is good, did some heavy cutting, no problem. I will keep posted...
