IH 800 Air Planter - Help Needed

I recently acquired an 800 cyclo air 4 row 30” planter. After some work, I got the 540 pump and filter cleaned up and working, blower to blow, the hopper/seed drum to seal and the monitors working. But I can not seem to get the hydraulics to work. The row marker arms will not move and the planter will only raise when hooked to the hydraulic remotes. If I turn the tractor off and hold the remote lever between neutral and full down position it will lower. The planter only has 1 hydraulic line running back to a control block that is located under the seed hopper. The planter is hooked to a Ford 4000 gas with a set of Tisco aftermarket remote hydraulics. Does my Ford have enough hydraulic pressure to get the shuttle in the planter control block to move? Do I need to adjust the pressure relief setting on the Ford, I have never had them tested nor do I know how to adjust the relief setting. Should the planter have 2 hydraulic lines? Any help/advice/guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do the lites on the marker box lite up? Do they switch from left to right when activating the switch? Turning the marker box off and then back on resets it and will let the markers down. How far down does the main beam of the planter go? Supposed to remain 20" off the ground for the units to operate properly. Is the ground wire for the marker box on a shiny clean spot on tractor frame?

You've got a bad ground to the control box.

Marker box lights up and changes from left to right when advanced is tripped. Ground wire was on a freshly filed face. Any thoughts on why the planter will not lower with the tractor running?

If you shut the box off and then turn back on will it work? Hold the hyd. lever on the tractor in the lift position for a few seconds with tractor at high idle to maximize pressure output. May just be your pump is not good enough. I was told you could get a less pressure switch for older tractors, like 1500# instead of 2000#. Something like $125.

Try your tractor on another single hydraulic item! The switch box only controls oil flow to the markers, if it goes down with the tractor off but not running, then I would think your tractor might be the issue!

I had to ponder a bit, first, yes one line to the remotes on the tractor, (single acting) second the aftermarket remote is that hooked up right? If it is wrong, oil going the wrong way it will try to raise the planter either way you move the remote lever! I have a six row and here is a secret, I don't use the markers, I took them off, they were to cheap made any way.
