LOCK OUT VALVE ON 851 NEW HOLLAND ROLLER

LOCK OUT VALVE, WHAT IS IT'S PURPOSE? HAVING A PROBLEM WITH TAIL GATE OPENING ON IT'S OWN. THIS VALVE IS THE ONLY THING IN HYD. SYSTEM. ADJUST ON ONE END, BALL AND SPRING IN OTHER END. ANY HELP OR ADVICE WILL BE GREATLY APPRETIATED.

We have a NH 847 that I had the same problem, right after I bought it. Turns out the hydraulics on my tractor were weak and when the back door closed, I thought it was locked, It wasn't, I just had to continue holding the hydraulic lever forward until the hydraulics caught up and locked the two lock hooks on the bottom of the door.
Your 851 is generally the same baler, it should have the lock hooks as well. Have someone watch as the door comes down and see if the hooks lock.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY!!! NO SIR IT DOESN'T HAVE THE LOCKS. AND THE ONLY THING IN THE SYSTEM IS THE LOCK OUT VALVE, THAT IS ADJUSTABLE, BUT I DON'T HAVE A CLUE IF IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH PROBLEM. TALKED TO A DEALER TODAY HE SAID LOOK IN THE OPERATORS MANUAL, OF COURSE I DON'T HAVE ONE.

I have 2 851"s and have ran them for several years. You can adjust the lock out valve to get the gate to close. Most of the time the gae will "chatter" down and all it needs is the flow adjusted to match the tractor.850,851 nor the 852"s had the locks on the gate.
I have a manual if you need a copy of it let me know and I can send you one.
