Help me identify wagon gear

First of all, no pics yet- raining like crazy.
I have 2 older 5th wheel style running gear currently under hay beds. Have had them several years and was told that the wheels were actually 16" VW beetle wheels. Took 1 off today to repair a slow leak and noticed that 1 wagon had 5 lugs and the other was 6. Hmm...
Both are remarkablely similar with the very wide spaced lugs (not going out in the rain to measure)and arched, solid I-beam axles.
Anybody have a handle on what they might be? Looks like I might have to weld a place on the one and drill elsewhere for the tube, not a big deal but identification would make it easier to secure a replacement if things "go sideways" on me.
Will try to get pictures tomorrow and look a for any tags I may have overlooked. Thanks

After further investigation...not VW rims. Found that the wishbone axles/wheels that were made into this gear are actually 1936-39 Mercury/Ford axles. They call them "wide 5" wheels. Guess alot ended up this way.
However, I can't seem to find the axle/wheel type for the 6 lug set of similar gear. Both sets are 16".
