I have an early model 37 IH disc that has two, 2" single action cylinders. The cylinders are leaking and need to be rebuilt, I can"t find a number anywhere on them, can someone tell me where to find seals or how to identify the cylinders.

Thank you Todd

Those could be any makers cylinders......Just tote them to your local hydraulic shop and they can fix you up.

Your best bet is to take the cylinders apart and then you can measure the seals and O-rings and order the correct replacements. You can get hydraulic cylinder seals and O-rings from Mcmaster-Carr.

Iagree with Leroy. Those are the 'old'(oddball) IH cylinders.I'll bet you find leather cups instead of orings when you take em apart. You might be better off (maybe cheaper, too) by just converting it to a more modern 3x8" 'farm' cylinder.

Thank you for the info, do these cylinders belong on this disk or did someone just rig them up to work.
I have not seen another #37 like this just single cylinders. And the front mount for the cyl. Is way ahead of where the single cyl.s mount.
Can i buy the bracket for a single cylinder and convert it?

Leroy,
I read in one of your old replys that you had an extra copy of a #37 IH disk manual.
Would you still have one that you will sell?

Like Leroy said these will be 2 Liftall cylinders off of a cultivator with some different brackets. This is a factory optional lift setup. Parts may still be available from CIH for repairing those cylinders if you choose to keep this type of lift setup. There may be a part number on the cast piece where the pivot pin goes through on the end of the cylinder that would help if searching for parts.

I still have them but they do not show that cylinder setup. Try Messicks parts page and hopefully it will be there with a parts list. Books are only operators manuals.
