Corn plates for ford 309 corn planter

I"m trying to find the right size plates to plant hickory king white corn it has a very large flat kernel and the plates I have are cutting the corn in half , What size do I need???

Here is a thought. It will take some leg work on your part & probably a little luck but. I have what is called a Seed Sizing Plate for CASE planter plates. If you want to send me several kernels I will put them in my Sizing Plate & get you the correct CASE plate# & You can then find a cross reference chart & cross it from a CASE plate to a FORD plate. I know it sounds like a pain & a lot of hassle but it is a thought. Email is open if you want. Gerald

If you could secure an extra set of plates to work with!!!

Could you super glue six or eight equally spaced thin washers to the bottom of the plates. If the planter boxes would allow this additional thickness of the plate it might work.

Might could find plastic or brass washers to keep down wear of the box. Could be any material added to the bottom of the plate in order to allow the seed to pass.

Will john Deere plates fit your drill, if so there might be more deere plates out there.
