Farmhand Accumulator Return Line Hydraulic Question

I am currently attaching a Farmhand F-100D accumulator to A New Holland Baler with a flywheel mounted pump and was wondering about the diameter of the return line? It shows in the manual that a 1" rubber return line is needed from pump to accumulator, but shows a 3/4" black pipe fitting on each end that it slips onto. I was wondering if you go 3/4" black pipe hard line down the side of the baler with short pieces of 1" rubber hose on each end, will that restrict the return flow too much? Or do you think I could use 1" black pipe hard line with 3/4" attachments for the 1" would be needed? Just thought I would throw that out there as an idea. Any help is appreciated.

My recommendation would be to use the hose because it will stand the vibration and bumps better. The hard pipe would be more prone to crack I would think. I used the hose on my accumulator and had absolutely no problems.
