In the midst of restoring what was described to me as a Case wagon frame and am contemplating replacing vs. repairing several of the rims. Seeking assistance to locate replacement rims for this project. The rims come from the Electric Wheel Company out of Quincy, IL and the cast hub has the embossed model number: RS233. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

A couple of years ago I had a spoke wheel gear with very rusty rims but the spokes and hubs were in good shape. Rather than try to repair the rims, I cut the spokes from the rims, bought new blank rims and had the spokes welded to the new rims. Turned out good.

Interesting. Would you be able to take a few pictures? I've seen plenty of John Deere steel hub and spoke wheels, but not many from the Electric Wheel Company. Also curious if your wheels have the same RS233 embossing. Looking forward to hearing more.
 
Excellent recommendation Joe. I am trying my best to preserve the original the materials, but may need to get as creative as you have to finish the job. If I am unable to locate replacements, I'll pursue this path. Thanks for your assistance and my compliments on your project. Looks great.

Currently in pieces as we prepare for sandblasting and minor repairs. I'll be sure to provide pictures as the project progresses. The running gear itself was in extraordinarily good shape. The wheels, however, are slowing the rebuilding process as I am seeking to maintain as many original pieces and parts as possible. Thanks for your comments.
 
Detwilers ( probably not spelled right ) rerims spoked wheels , I know a couple people that have had tractor wheels redone by them . It's not cheap but they look like new.
