hoppers for John Deere Flex 71

looking for vegetable hoppers to put on my john deere flex 71 planters. Or where to find some john deere 33 vegetable planters.

The veggie hopper attachments to fit 71 frames are as rare as hen's teeth and the 33 units are only slightly less so. Last I knew there were some 33's at Muth Welding Service (a used farm equipment dealer) in Rocky Ford, CO but they were in kind of rough shape and possibly weren't complete. I picked up a pair from him a number of years ago and took the better looking ones. About five years ago I was lucky enough to score six 71 veggie hopper attachments from another equipment dealer in the Rocky Ford area but have sold all but one which I use in the garden.

You might already know this but keep in mind that the special plates for these hoppers are hard to find used and are very expensive (around $200 each) if bought new from Deere.

What do they look like? Will hoppers from other JD planters fit? I have a small J D hopper that I do not know what it is.

Here's a picture of the 71 veggie hopper which is also used on the 33 planter unit.

Thanks for the input guys. Whow, did not know these critters were so expensive. Seems not many economical tools to plant small seed accurately. Any ideas for other planters?

Yetter took over production of the 71 line and sells new and parts. I don't know if they have any such specialty items, and they don't give stuff away either, but might want to check?
