danish tine sweeps

been along time since i"ve used a cultivator and just bought one that has danish tines on it. the sweeps look so little compared to what i"m use to. they are maybe 3 inches across and i"m used to stuff 6 inches or bigger across. my question is, are these little sweeps best for danish tine cultivators or what should i be using?

Well that's what I use on mine. You not only CAN drive a lot faster but you HAVE to drive faster. No slabbing.

Never used them but from what I understand they are several inches closer together so you still get most of the area worked. See a lot are only about 2" wide. I think that they would work as good in breaking up the earth but not as good in getting rid of weeds as with them there would be a strip between each that a weed could slip thru but with the older cultivator that usually ran 8" sweeps on a 6" spacing the wing of the cultivator would cut off that weed instead of it slipping thru. They were too new for me to have when I was farming.
