It is my pick up that gets 22mpg. 2005 Caravan with the 3.3. Anti freeze is running off I think, the intake manifold. Both ends of the motor are wet, is there anything I should know before I tear into it? Or is there something else to leak on it?

Pressure test, don't guess. With cooling systems, you need to see the leak. Pressure test after the repair to verify. Intake gaskets are not very common on those engines. If it is the intake, try to determine why they failed or you may end up redoing it down the road.

We replace a lot of intake gaskets on that series of engines. I do not know of any other leak that will be wet on both ends. If it is like I am thinking the intake will have a orange scale leading back to the leak. Never had to redo one happens at about 100000 miles.

Interesting. I my time at a Dodge dealership as a line mechanic (9 years) I don't remember one I did. That engine family was bad for waterpumps, thermostats, and an occasional back head gasket but not intakes. Curious as to the vehicle years you are seeing this.

Mostly 03 to 07. Some days I see 2 or 3 Chrysler vans in the shop. We see a lot of high mileage cars that won't go to the dealer. Started as a Chrysler tech in 1972 stopped in 2011 as shop manager. Now have my own shop and love it! Chrysler 5 Star ase master + advanced engine performance

Thanks fellas, I talked to a local machinist/mechanic/shop owner the other day and he said the intakes were the most likely problem. I can t tell where it is coming from but it is getting bad enough that when I park at home with the left side down hill it will drip really bad from the transmission. If it will just warm up, before it completely blows up, I will be good.
