V-rake support rings

I may be able to help some on this subject. I noticed I there was
a lot of traffic coming to the website this morning from here so I
thought I'd stop by to check it out. I help run the website for
VRTS System, the first video + the how it works page can explain
a lot about it. There's also an additional video out there that shows it working in cornstalks, hay, and cane I believe. I'd
also recommend calling their toll free number and talking with
Reg about it, he spent 10 years perfecting this product.

As far as the price goes, it probably depends on how many acres
you rake per year. If you're breaking/bending teeth all over the
place, then the system would pay for itself very quickly with the
time/money saved not replacing teeth + the increased number
of bales you could possibly get. That's probably the biggest
unseen benefit when people first see the product, they don't
realize that by keeping the rake teeth supported against one
another it actually allows for more hay to get into the windrows
(therefore allowing you to get more bales). When you think
about it that way it wouldn't take very long to pay for itself it
you're doing a bunch of acres. It's kind of like if you could buy a
corn head that produced more bushels per acres with less
breakdowns/maintenance but cost a little more money, would
you do it?

In any case, if you're interested in the product I'd definitely call
Reg and talk with him. He's at the Western Farm Show in KC
today, so if you're local you can stop by. Thanks

Yep Lund that is what I was talking (or typing) about, they are pricey for a piece of plastic. I have a 520 Gehl 12 wheel and when the teeth wear at the metal band they bend over easier and stop the wheel, not often, but it happens! Seems to much for what they are, just my opinion, I can buy new teeth for 1.70 yet.

Ya,I've got a Gehl 8 wheel. Never had a wheel stop, but ya,when they get worn against the band, mine just break off. Then there's a gap between them. Get up to two or three in a row and it's a problem.
