Piricng old equipment

Go to auctions;Talk to equipment dealers;Talk to neighbors/friends;look on 'Tractor House';Find out what a particular(or similar) piece cost(s) new;search Ebay/Craigslist;open up for offers;ask high and negociate.....It takes experience,and 'homework'

I agree with DeltaRed. Though there are a few other ways to look at the value of equipment.
1. For some equipment it is a comparison of what it would cost you in materials, power, and lost production time to make it yourself.
2. Value the equipment as an input cost of what you are producing. There are times where I get home from the auction and wonder if I paid too much (based on comparing to other auctions, craigslist etc) and then calculate the return on what I plan on doing with the equipment and decided that the price was a good one afterall.

Thanks everyone I was just wanting to buy some old dearborn equipment for my ford and was wondering a good price
