Yes Delta you are posing a good $4K question there for sure. Was hoping I could get a floor cut for $150 or so, not a "huge" deal or sinking what I consider to be a lot of money in the machine, and figure it will help with resale. Got the baler for a song and had all the plunger bearings and rails replaced. It IS a decent old baler, ties a good knot, has a thrower and I"ve put about 25,000 bales thru it. Spent enough time fiddling with it so I know how it works and all the personality quirks. The previous owner(s) were idiots and did not remove the hay from the chamber while it was parked. Am usually a bit on edge during the hay season wondering what might be on the verge of breaking. Since the price of hay has been up the last couple of years, quality used small square balers around my territory are commanding a good price, so its a tough decision.

Delta is right on..look for a new one.. Is the "floor" you refer to in the bale chamber itself..I have replaced the "L" shaped "floor" on the sides of the bale chamber before on an old 65..bought that baler years ago for a song and it cost me the orchestra.. rebuilt the sucker and it still was junk..BUT made me alot more knowledgeable when I bought my 273.. so... Good Luck..
