NH 8160 fuel pump

I have a New holland 8160 like the tractor but fuel pump has gone again for the third time in 3 years. I usually put on about 6-700 hours on per year. just wondereed if anyone else has had problems like this and any ideas to limit this from happening soo often... thanks

Lift pump or injection pump? If it' the injection pump I'd look hard at you having water in the system... or mabey you're using a lot of alcohol in the winter... which doesn't do them any good. If it's the lift pump.... I'd wonder if the tank strainer is plugged up or something else is restricting it.
