Tandem Rake hitch - NH 258 and 260 (LH and RH)

Hey guys,
just bought a NH 260 at an auction to go with our 258.
We have been running a tandem rake combo for a couple years with a 256 and 258 and an IH 35 and 258 before that.
We saw this 260 come up for sale and figured it would do what we've been looking for. RH rakes are not c ommon in upstate NY so they are hard to come by at a reasonable price. We have run dual LH rakes with the trailer bbbeing pulled by a drawbar offset and extended from the rear of the lead rake. This has worked well except for the initial pass around a field...we need to run a single pass in each direction to stop from putting hay into the hedgerow. This wastes a little bit of time and a little bit of effort, unhooking a re-hooking. Now with the LH RH combo we should be able to avoid this.

Does anyone have pics of a LH RH tandem hithc they have purchased or built? Or any tips/mistakes to avoid? I have an idea of something pretty simple that should work but hate to not look for advice from someone who has already done it...

Here is one I built.It works well with 2 left rakes.You can swing it wide for doubles,narrow in line for road travel or the first/last single,or the other way to flip 2 singles.It would work well on your application.Ive found that it works better to leave ends and rake/clean up ends last. Steve

New Holland's model number for their tandem hitch is 252. To my untrained eye it is similar to the pictures the gentleman posted.
 
This hitch is not 'copyed' from anything.Simply made from a truck axle(turned upside down),and scrap iron(baler tounge,2 different sizes hollow toolbar/squaretubing......
 
OK. I saw a 14 up in North Dakota a few years ago, it looked like it was pretty narrow. I think we measured the 16 at an 8 foot swath. Never seen a whole lot of IH rakes.
 
I raise mostly grass.But when I do alfalfa,I rake a bit 'green' with dew on it.Leafloss is minimal to none.Bale the next dayBut yes if you rake/bale mid/late afternoon,you get 'sticks'.
