Bale Kicker for NH 855

Has anyone here ever fabricated a home made kicker bar for their Round Baler??? I am looking at an 855 that had a kicker, but currently does not, for sure the main arms and the pipes are gone. I really do not want a baler without the kicker and so far can not find a parts yard with one, was thinking I could make something, but after looking at the parts New Holland uses, it may be a bit more tricky than I thought? Anyone with ideas??

Couldn't that be dangerous? I have thrown a bale out into the road before. What if a car went by as your kicker decided to put an eight hundred pound round bale out into the road? Just kidding.

Good one! I am pretty sure the bales out of this
thing will be at least twice that!!! Just wanting
to prevent from having to back up every time I dump
a bale...

I do not know that baler but I run a NH850 and I never have to back up to kick one out

I use a Vermeer and my Cuz. has a New Holland and our balers both have a ramp system rather than kickers, and they both work well.

It may be called a ramp not sure if anyone can post pictures?

I have an 851 that does not have a ramp or kicker and unless I am on a hill I have to back up every time or the door will come down on the bale.

Door comes down on the bale that is odd. My NH850 all you do is open it up and then hit the PTO and it kicks the bale right out. Have a 851 also and it works the same way but since it is in such poor shape I use the 850 more

My neighbor parked his last summer and found a newer better 855. The old one looks decent. It's in Mitchell SD
If you want call "John" at 605 933 1632. Tell him Gordy gave you his number.

hey old i have a 850 also, does yours leave a little pile of fine loose hay when you dump out a bale,my 850 works good never gives me any trouble but always leaves a little pile of hay everytime i dump one.

My 851 does leave a pile of leaves as well, that's part of using the old chain balers, I have been told that the 855 is not as bad, I will see. Hoping that the reverser helps, but still thinking I am going to need the added push.

Doesn't leave a pile when I dump it but leaves a pile when I am tieing (sp) the bale.

I have an 850 also the drier the hay the bigger of a pile it leaves when you tie or dump whichever it is, and you are correct the bale does not roll far enough away from baler, what i do is when i dump a bale is to pull forward a bit with door open and pto off then close door and start pto. no backing up. If you bale hay a little tough they wont leave that pile when you tie.

old you are correct it leaves a pile while tieing.
i got a little confused i do that alot lately

On my place due to the fact my fields are not all that big I pull the baler in such a way the when I tie the bale it leaves the pile on the end of the next windrow so it then gets picked up when I start that row. I figure if I drive the tractor and baler to the hay barn and dump it there is not difference if I was to drive the loader tractor and haul it back on the loader so I dump all my bales at the hay barn
