JD925 / 926 MOCO's

What are the main differences between the John Deere 925 and 926 MOCO's? What should I look for on these machines? Are there any known issues? Thanks

I had one of each. Only major difference I can think of was the 925 had a metal hood over the cutterbar which showed dents from rocks and the 926 had a plastic hood. Both were very good machines and far superior to the model that came after, 530? The 530 was such a disappointment that I went back to a New Holland discbine. The only touble I had with the 926 was the main drive belt idler self destructed, probably just a bad part.

The biggest difference was in the cutterbar design. The JD 926 had a difference segment so you could take out even the middle ones easily.

Both are good machines.
