I need a gear box for a AGMO USA Z-45-312 brush hog. It is bolted on the frame with 8 bolts. 4 on each side of the gear box. Does anyone know where I could get one?

Is the rotary mower a Bush-Hog or an off brand one?
There is a big difference between a bush-hog and a off brand rotary-cutter.

Sounds like you have an older mower with a Howse AGMO gearbox. This box is no longer in production and Howse recommends you cut off the two vertical plates that the gearbox is sandwiched into and mount a replacement 40hp gearbox directly to the deck by drilling mounting holes for the new box. In reality you need to look at your old gearbox and count the splines on the output shaft. If there are 12 this is a viable option but some of the early models had just 10 or 11 splines. The new 40hp gearboxes have 12 spline output shafts so if you have an early model with a different count you would also have to change the blade pan for this to work. With this said you have to ask if investing $200.00 for a gearbox and maybe another $100-150 for a blade pan is the right thing to do for your mower. If the mower is in great shape and heavy enough it may be, if not check out some of the machinery auctions for a dead mower with a good box, you may find one on the cheap
