Planting with a JD Van Brunt model B

Hello. I am considering buying a JD Van Brunt model B grain drill. The drill has a small seed box and a grain box. Will I be able to plant fuzzy seed with this drill such as red river crabgrass seed? Thanks in advance for any comments.

depends how fuzzy it is. You will want to use the
big seed box. It may bridge over and not flow out.
Grass seed drills have agitators in the seed box.
Another option may be to have someone ride on the
drill with a stick to stir the seed and keep it
moving. The small box is for small smooth seed
such as alfalfa and clover.
