Whats a good American made broadcast seed to buy?

My thoughts. What kind of seed were you wanting to grow. But then American made for seed? And what type of crop?

Lely used to make a good expensive, heavy duty one, also could be used to spread fertilizer. I have a cheaper Italian made one which spreads seed well, you have to get used to it to calibrate the amount of seed put down. Keep it clean and oiled when not in use, plus keep it under shelter. I think you put the open end of the spreader toward the back of a truck when transporting it at highway speeds, otherwise the seeder is likely to blow off. Probably one from TSC will work, but I haven't examined one from there.

I'll second the Lely. I don't think that it is American made, but I see plenty of them around. It has some age on it, but it is heavy built, and is very adjustable.

Look into a "Porta Seeder". it's a pull type, large, about 6 feet tall. Also has a gandy box on it for cover crop or lets say alfalfa and orchard grass in one pass. Lays out about 45 feet band.
I've used it for alfalfa and intermediate wheat grass also. Really nice if you pull three section tooth harrow behind it.
I have some for sale if interested. They were made not far from here by MDS in Parkston SD.
