WHAT SIZE HOLES SHOULD BE IN THE PLATE FOR IT TO BE FOR CORN PLANTING? ARE IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO FIGURE IT OUT? THEY ARE BURCH PLANTERS.

There is more to planting corn than 'holes'.Seed is graded to differing sizes/shapes(flats or rounds). The seed bag will have a chart telling the correct size plate.Burch is pretty old/obsolete.Not sure if plates are even available. Also, these days, plate planters becomeing obsolete.Lots/most seed companys no longer have the chart on the bag. Most planters these days are 'plateless'.You also need to have the gearing to apply the correct population.See your seed dealer. They will know.My advise: get rid of that obsolete old planter and get something that is still in use.

I am not saying Your wrong; But I priced a new Burch disk in the Spring. They said they had a 6 month back order on disks. Told me if I wanted one for Spring of 2014 I'd better order by October 1st. Hard to believe 6 months of back orders turned to bankruptcy; but it wouldn't be the first time.

You can get planting guide for
burch. I had a set and planning guide I sold a couple years a go. If can't obtain one E-Mail me I will get you one.
