400 cyclo planter

Has anyone put 800 row units on a 400 planter?

The 800 is cheap enough to buy and just use it.

Brookings Equip had a pretty decent 800 8rw I was going to buy for $500 to chop up and make a bean planter, how much work can you do for $500? besides the 800 has several nice improvements like the front mounted drum, heavier frame ect.

I only got the row units. planter got scrapped for the tool bar.

I suppose you could mount them on but for what an 800 will bring I think I would just buy a complete planter and use them for spare parts, an 800 row unit is much improved over the 400, depth is more uniform which leads to more even emergence and dryer corn in the fall, maybe see you at Billy's sale, I'd like to sell that eagle hitch 4rw cultivator also.

I plan on goin to the sale unless plans change. I had planned on getting that cultivator this summer/fall but looks like spring now
