Where can I find old IH mold board plow parts?

I have a one bottom IH, I believe 14" plow. Model number 515927R1. Where can I get a replacement plow share? Where can I get a manual?

That number is a part #,not a model #. That part # could be(probably) used on several different plows.Get a book from 'Binder Books'.Is this a mounted or a pullbehind?Post a pic so we can identify.

It's the plow model number. Might not be IH plow. I will try to post a picture in the morning. It is a pull behind, ground driven trip.

You all are right. That is a part number. I think the plow is a McCormick Deering No. 3. Would anyone know where to get a replacement share for it?

Is it gone,or just worn? they can be built up.I've done that. There are lots of old plow shares still out there, you just have to keep looking.I dont know it Wiess or Addams offers that type of share or not.

It's worn and can probably be built up. I would like a replacement also for the future, if I can find one. Thanks for your help.

bill I would like to make some new ones the number on the back of the one I have is 0554 . I have a buddy that has a new one to copy just waiting to get my hands on it . would like to get going on this I think I could sell some if the work out .

Now if Crescent Forge was still in business I would tell you to get them there. That's where I have gotten them for my 211 IH plow they were pricy though 130.00 apiece. Wish I could help you. Jim

When White Horse gets set up those Cresent Forge parts will be avaible again. White Horse is Amish and in the parts business for older machinery.

I can't find 152 in the PC0158 JD plow bottoms book. I can't find 515927R1 in my IH books either. All I know is you have an unidentified plow with an unknown Deere share and an IH part of some kind on it. You've gotta give us more info. Part number on back of moldboard? Beam part number? Picture?

Here's a picture with the share off

Well, alright, nice picture. You've got a IHC #3 Little Wonder.

Still don't know why you have a John Deere share. What's the part number on the back of the moldboard? With that, I can get you the share numbers that you should be looking for.

Bill Gellert, are you still there?

I'll bet the part number you listed was supposed to be 511927R1 and that you found it stamped into the beam. Which means, your plow may have started life as a No. 3 Whirlwind Terracer Plow. Or, perhaps your plow was assembled using a beam that was meant for a Whirlwind Terracer Plow. The two unused holes in the beam above the moldboard were there for the auger/gear box to mount to. This also might explain why you might have a John Deere plow bottom or a John Deere share, but I don't know that for sure, because you haven't given me a moldboard part number yet.

I'm still here. Bet you thought I died and went to heaven. Sorry
about that. The number on the mold board is IH 03048H0.
Does that help? Thanks for all your help.

Sorry for taking a month to get back to you.

O3048 is used with a 16" KA bottom. It would use the following share numbers:
556 (regular, most common)
622 (rice)
664 (cobblestone)
582 (alfalfa)
The above shares will have an O, OE, OC, OD in front of the number, depending on material.
465994R91 (hard surface)
