New Idea Hay Rake

I know there are hay rake rebuilders on here, so this should be an easy question. I need a chain for what I believe to be a New Idea hay rake. It"s the type with steel wheels and the sliding gears to change the direction of the rake action. Is this the flat type chain and does anyone know what size chain it is?

Gotta see it to tell. There are many sizes of that chain. The number should be stamped on each link.Or,take the chain to your local dealer as a sample. They will know what size...

29 links of 62W chain acording to the book. Some sizes are no longer avaible . The W indicated a wide heavy link and I don't think it is still avaible but just a 62 link I think has the same length, just narrower sides to the links and in the normal replacement. In rebuilding over 3 dozen rakes I have not yet had to buy any as I have parted out a few rakes that were just way to far gone to rebuild. That said I have used parts from 5 different rakes in rebuilding one unit. Same chain fits the McCormick 3 & 4 bar rakes. Also some Massey. Also some Coop-Cockshutt rakes. Case and John Deere do not use chain. Moline I do not know about.

Unfortunately, the chain disappeared before I rediscovered the rake so I have nothing but the sprockets to go from.
