I have an f11 loader that works great. The reservoir has a bad leak. I am certain it can be fixed with a little brazing. I am not sure about how dangerous it is to braze a tank that has had oil in it. Any ideas about how to do this safely. I like my face as bad as it is.

Brazed ours up twice and lived to tell about it.
I'm sure the safety police will be along soon, but I didn't do anything special, just drained it, left it sit upside down for a day or so, and made sure to burn off all the oil, and clean the area to be grazed well.

As Big A says....If you are really worried, take it to a car wash and wash it out well with hot water/soap.Then braze away....

I would never worry about brazing a tank that had oil in it. Diesel fuel....maybe. Gasoline, oh, yeah!!! but there are precautions. Mostly, stay away! An oil tank might flare up, but it"s not going to explode. Flare ups just burn the crud out of it, and that"s a good thing!
