Drive the left rear tire up on an 8" block, (on a flat, level surface) adjust the plow to be nearly level from front to back (front a little lower than back), then wing it left to right,to adjust side to side level. Should get you close enough to get it in the ground, as long as your shares aren't worn out.

set up of plow is important.

but, from my experience working years with the old AC snap couple hitch system.

first thing you want to do is crawl under the tractor and be sure the snap couple hitch hook is in excellent working condition.

Insure all the hook cotter pins are in place and in good condition, plenty of tension on the hook to insure it stays hooked to the plow.

over the years I have heard of a number of the under belly snap couple hitchs come unhooked while plowing and the lift arms staying hooked

then the plows can come over on top of you.

just a heads up, be safe!!!!!!!!!!!

install new springs on the lift arm couplers to insure they stay connected, as they can come unhooked.

the snap couple hitch can be quickly hitched to the plow, but it can also come unhitched from the plow quick, if you hit a stump or rock, etc:

For the "1st furrow", with a properly adjusted plow and rear wheel settings, all you will really need to do is set the plow Deeper..about 3 to 4 turns on the crank, then return it after the complete 1st round..
If it is the same as a 3-14" AC snap-coupler plow... Looking Back at the crank, turn it Clockwise to set the plow deeper (shortening the upper link)..
I am not sure which AC tractor you have that would be narrow enough to set it up for only a 2-14"..
I have checked the Snap-Coupler upper arm latches by releasing the Snap-Coupler and the upper arms release with no hesitation what so ever..which is NOT so, with the old cross-pin attachment that early WD tractors used..
All WD AC's should be up-dated to the Snap-Coupler for Safety..

Ron..

The key element to make sure of in the snap coupler system is the upper lift clamps. Early WD's used a different type upper coupler that was mounted to the lift arm, by a set screw. You WANT the upper couplers to de-couple, in the event of the bottom coupler coming undone! Make sure you don't use the old style coupler, for the pin hitch plows, in place of the snap couplers.
