Farmall 140 two way plow

I just bought a 2 way 1 bottom plow for my Farmall 140, the kind that allows you to do a U turn and go right back down the same furrow. My question is: In one direction the wheels on the right side of the tractor will be in the furrow, but on the way back if the wheels on the left side of the tractor are in the furrow the plow won't be in the right position to turn the soil over into the furrow. What is the proper way to set up this type of plow?

On a twoway you have both sides set equally. You want the wheels to be in the furrow.the width should set accordingly.

Do you have 2 bottoms hanging off the back? Use one bottom with the right wheel in the furrow and the other bottom with the left wheel in the furrow.

No, this plow has two bottoms that pivot. If I set it to ride in the furrow in one direction it seems like it will be off in the other.

Pig man: here is a video of a IH 140 using a one way plow. The plow does not pivot to exactly the center. SO it is offsets a little to each side. So you set your wheels to the correct distance and just drive down each furrow with the side you need for each direction.

Your fast hitch pull bar needs to be set exactly in the middle. Then you adjust the tread width of the wheels to get the plow in the correct position for plowing.

Thanks, I have the 140 as narrow as it can go right now so it should be about right for plowing.
I just need to fabricate a front control rod for the 1 point hitch system and I should be good to go.
